A History of the Armenian Language

Before we dive into Armenian translation for business, let’s take a hot second to talk about the history of the Armenian language. After all, this language didn’t come out of thin air!

As a matter of fact, Armenian is an extremely old language. The first recorded use of this language dates all the way back to 405 BC when an Indo-European cleric named Mesrop Mashtots created the Armenian alphabet.

Mashtots created the alphabet based on traditional Greek letters. This new alphabet became the first written form of a language that had already been spoken colloquially for years.

Although two letters were added to the Armenian alphabet in the 12th century, the written language has remained largely unchanged. Phonetically, the Armenian language hasn’t changed much either, although Eastern and Western Armenians have their own pronunciation style.

Fun Facts About the Armenian Language and Culture

Now, let’s move on to the fun stuff. There are tons of fun facts about Armenia, Armenians, and Armenian (try saying that fast five times)!

For one, written Armenian does not use traditional periods or question marks. Instead, the language swaps ‘?’ for ‘՞’ and ‘.’ for ‘:’, which can get pretty confusing if you’re a native English speaker.

Another fun fact to know is that Armenia is an ancient country and is home to the world’s oldest city. Perhaps more exciting than that is that it’s home to the world’s oldest winery (cabernet, anyone?).

Finally, you’ll love knowing that Armenians were the first nation to become Christian. The country adopted Christianity back in 301 AD when the nation was officially baptized.

The Benefits of Armenian Translation Services
Now that we’ve checked out some of the fun facts about the Armenian language and culture, let’s take a minute to look at the benefits of Armenian translation services.

Life Sciences & Medical

Armenian translation services in the life sciences and medical field are extremely helpful in making your clients feel more comfortable. When patients feel more comfortable, they have a better impression of your business and are more likely to become returning customers.

On top of that, medical documents often contain confusing words and terms. Patients who don’t speak English as their first language can easily become confused, especially considering how different the alphabet and sentence structure are in Armenian!

To help them out, you can offer your important documents and forms in Armenian. A few of the document translation services we offer include:

  • Informed consent forms
  • Doctor guides
  • Patient guides
  • Patient questionnaires
  • Clinical trial materials
  • Drug inserts

Having all these documents translated can make it easier for you to provide patients and clients with accurate and beneficial services!

Technical & Manufacturing

Manufacturing is a business that can easily be taken to a global level. However, as you expand your operations around the world, you’ll need to make sure that you’re providing services in your target country’s language.

Considering the fact that Armenia has a fast-growing economy with tons of consumers, it’s a great place for your business to expand to. And, with translation services, you can increase your Armenian customer base.

A few translation services you can benefit from include:

  • Technical and service bulletins
  • Content management systems
  • Engineering drawings
  • Operator and service manuals
  • Human-machine interfaces
  • Software

Financial & Legal

If there’s one industry where you need to make sure your client fully understands you, it’s the legal and financial industry. If your client doesn’t understand what you’re trying to communicate, you can run into serious issues with the law.

For example, if you put the wrong client information into a financial record that’s submitted to a government authority, you can create a huge problem. And, as the document preparer, you could have some liability in the situation.

With Armenian translation services, you can avoid these types of issues. A few documents that you can get Armenian translation for include:

  • Financial reports
  • Regulatory prospectuses
  • Sworn statements
  • Pleadings
  • Public hearings

Technology

Unless you’re fluent in DOS and binary code, technology can get pretty complicated. And, while we don’t offer translations for binary or DOS (sorry guys), we do offer translations that can make technology at least slightly easier to understand!

When you’re working with individuals who don’t speak English, explaining technical terms can lose them. They’ll find it hard to follow what you’re saying and to take necessary actions.

With Armenian translation services, you can make things simpler. Individuals can get a grasp of what you’re talking about as they hear technical terms in their own language.

A few technology translation services you could benefit from include:

  • User interface
  • Product catalogs
  • Labels
  • Software localization

Education

Another industry that can benefit from translation services is the education industry. After all, it is important that there is clear communication between teachers, students, and parents when applicable.

By providing Armenian translation services, you can ensure that your organization is educating its clients. You’ll ensure that your students have all the resources they need to succeed and to go on to become successful in their endeavors.

Some translation services you can take advantage of in educational facilities include:

  • Handbooks
  • Syllabus
  • Email Notifications
  • Newsletters
  • Report Cards
